TOUR DESCRIPTION

This Adventure Holiday will take you to see Uganda’s wildlife wonders, amazing scenery, beautiful people & unforgettable cultural experiences. Starting off with a tour of East Africa’s adventure capital – Jinja, to see a number of falls & visit the source of the Nile (World’s second longest river). This will be your chance to engage in one of the adrenaline activities like white water rafting, Kayaking, bungee jumping, quad biking, horseback riding and more.

You will travel to south western Uganda, to visit Queen Elizabeth National Park passing through a rich green countryside of fort-portal town with views of the Rwenzori mountains. This park will give you a chance to view some of its amazing attractions like the Kazinga channel, crater lakes, Kyambura gorge, Ishasha tree climbing lions and a lot more.

Later move on to the southern part of Uganda to Bwindi, and spend a night at one of those eco lodges situated amidst the Jungles. This will get you ready early in the morning to trek the mountain gorillas found in the impenetrable forests. This trip requires you to do a good health check-up before going for tracking as mountain gorillas are susceptible to human diseases. The Gorilla trekking will surely be your highlight for this trip so be ready to capture the moments and tell more stories to the world about your experience. It also hosts five other species of primate, 113 species of mammal, over 200 butterflies and 360 birds. The Gorillas you will track belong to one of nine habituated family groups who can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. Your trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the Gorillas habitat. En-route, your guide will point out signs of previous Gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots. The time taken Gorilla trekking can be as little as 2 hours to as much as 7 hours before one returns! Once the Gorillas have been located, your group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a Mountain Gorilla is a truly humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Uganda’s very own Gorillas in the Mist. In the Evening visit the community and interact with thee local people.
