Here is the full day-by-day of 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Tracking Safari

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

This 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Tracking Safari starts with our driver/guide picking you up from your residence/hotel in Kampala or Entebbe at 7:00 am.

Your driver/guide will then drive you to Bwindi via Masaka and Mbarara towns (approx. 9hrs). You shall make a brief stopover at the famous Uganda Equator line for some snacks and photography.

You will stop again in Mbarara for lunch before proceeding to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. From Mbarara, you will drive to Bwindi and reach your accommodation during the evening hours. You will have time to explore the community and surroundings for a short while.

Day 2:Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is the big day! Prepare yourself for an encounter with the gentle giants; the rare mountain gorillas.

For most people, this is the absolute highlight of their tour. You will go into the forest in groups of not more than 8 in search of mountain gorillas. En route, your guide will point out previous signs of gorilla activity such as dung, nests, and chewed bamboo shoots.

Your trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes, and bamboo. Upon finding the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them after which you will be led back to the starting point.

In the evening, you will go for a community visit and cultural experience of the local Bakiga and Batwa tribes that live close to Bwindi. You will learn about their lives, history, and traditions.

Day 3:Drive from Bwindi back to Kampala / Entebbe Airport

Today marks the last day of your 3 Days Uganda Gorilla Tracking Safari in Bwindi. We will drive the same route from Bwindi to Kampala, via Mbarara and Masaka (approx. 9hrs).

Finally, you will reach Kampala in the evening and your driver will drop you off at your place of choice in either Kampala or Entebbe. This will mark the completion of your Gorilla Tracking safari.
