On this day tour, you will explore Kampala’s history. You will see many places that hold great significance to Ugandans from a historical, cultural heritage, and spiritual perspective.
As you move from place to place, you will be able to get a feel of the various parts of Kampala, as well as the frustrating traffic jam and congestion – which is an experience impossible to describe but worthy of retelling.
While it is true that you can’t really experience Kampala in one day, your tour will give you a great insight into how the various aspects of Kampala combine to make something wonderful.
Your guide will pick from your place of residence or accommodation, and head for a city tour.
You will visit the Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo first before heading to the Baha’i temple which has a good view of Kampala city. Next, your guide will transfer you to the Uganda museum with a number of historical collections.
We then head for a mouthwatering lunch in one of the best local restaurants. You will need to try out an African dish like Matooke, Chicken-luwombo, etc. but you can still choose to have a different cuisine.
In the afternoon drive to Kasubi hill passing by Makerere hill, to see the Kasubi tombs. From here, you will visit Kabaka’s palace in Mengo and the Gaddafi Mosque in the Old Kampala area.
