This 2-day Lake Mburo Safari takes you to Uganda’s most popular game park for seeing zebras in the wild. In Lake Mburo, you will get to see many animals, especially the big herds of zebras the park is famous for.
Located off the Kampala-Mbarara Highway, Lake Mburo is easy to reach and the closest national park to Kampala.
Your trip will leave Kampala and head west towards Lake Mburo via Masaka. You will have a stopover at the equator for some pictures and roadside snacks.
We shall reach Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon – just in time for lunch. That evening, we shall go on the first game drive in the park and see the various wild animals.
You will have another game drive or boat cruise in Lake Mburo before saying your goodbyes and heading back to Kampala in the afternoon.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
Today we drive from the capital city of Uganda – Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park which is located between the towns of Masaka and Mbarara.
Stopover at the Equator line in Mpigi for snacks and photography before continuing to Mburo which is a 3 and a half hours or 4 hours drive (228kms ) from Kampala.
Continue driving to the park while enjoying a game drive before you check into your lodge for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive in Lake Mburo & Driving back to Kampala
Early morning after breakfast, your guide will take you on an early morning game drive where you will get to encounter zebras, impalas, buffaloes, hippos, topi, and elands including the rare shoebill, crested crane, pelicans, fish eagle, and other birds.
If possible, you will go for a 2-hour boat trip on Lake Mburo amidst crocodiles and a huge number of hippos.
Later check out of the lodge and drive back to Kampala.
