Marafiki Safari Lodge

Marafiki Safari Lodge is a beautiful luxurious lodge with amazing views of Queen Elizabeth National Park‘s flora and fauna.

The lodge is built with locally sourced materials and by local builders, making it a product of sustainable tourism and conservation. The main area includes a dining and lounge area, a breakfast deck, a bar, an infinity pool, and an open fire pit where you can enjoy tasty meals and drinks while gazing at the starry African night skies.

The rooms are all spread out in their secluded settings, with views of Lake George and Kasenyi Savannah Plains, and are perfectly positioned to watch the sunrise from your bed.

There are spacious private bandas with raised wooden floors and tapeline canvas walls which guests can roll to view the expansive savannah plains across the park, with the imposing Rwenzori Mountains. The lodge also has three luxury furnished Safari Tents for luxury travelers and four cozy spacious timber cabins for budget travelers.

From the comfort of your tent, you can watch elephants moving across the savannah grasslands, birds singing sweetly in the trees, and hippos yawning lazily in Lake George as the savannah plains come to life. The lodge’s en-suite open-air showers are ideal for a morning refreshment or a dip in the infinity pool after a long day in the wilderness.

During your stay at Marafiki, you can go on game drives in the savannah and boat safaris on the Kazinga Channel for game viewing, track chimpanzees and go on forest walks in the nearby Kyambura Gorge, go lion tracking in the nearby Ishasha Wilderness, and explore the area’s crater lakes.

Experience the local culture through storytelling, culture walks, and dance performances organized by the lodge to benefit the surrounding communities.
