Day 1: Bird Watching In Mabamba Swamp

Early morning, your 1 Day Mabamba Swamp Birding Tour guide will pick you up from your place of residence or accommodation and drive to Mabamba Swamp in Entebbe.

You will take a canoe (wooden boat) through the swamp accompanied by the guide in the search for the shoebill stork. Other birds found in Mabamba Bay include papyrus gonolek, blue-breasted bee-eater, red-headed love bird, and sun-billed stork.

Later in the afternoon visit the botanical gardens, one of the best places to visit around Entebbe. Key birds found in gardens include; Batwalk, orange weaver, and orange tufted sunbird.

In the evening, you will return to your residence in Entebbe or Kampala and that will mark the end of your Mabamba Swamp Birding tour.
