Saruni Rhino – Samburu N.R

Saruni Rhino is a luxury safari camp in Kenya’s wild north, located in Sera Community Conservancy. The exclusive and intimate camp is located along a dry river bed lined with palms. The camp is also environmentally conscious, with features such as solar lighting.

There are three bandas in this camp. Each banda is made of rustic stone with a thatched roof and roll-down canvas windows. Each banda has flushing toilets, natural stone showers with both hot and cold running water, and a private sandy terrace overlooking the dry river bed.

Saruni Rhino’s cuisine is Italian-inspired and prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Meals are served in the communal dining room, but in-room dining and bush meals are also available.

Sundowners and star-lit dinners are available. Saruni Meals are served in the communal dining area, but in-room dining and bush meals are also available. Under the vast African skies, enjoy sundowners and star-lit dinners.

The camp also includes a lounge area, swimming pool, spa, and day bed for relaxing and watching the wildlife that congregates at the camp’s water hole. The camp’s location within the rhino sanctuary also allows guests to see black rhinos in their natural habitat.

Guests can also take part in game drives, bush walks, and cultural excursions to the nearby Samburu and Pokot communities. Guests encounter firsthand the fascinating customs and traditions of the Samburu people while being led by Samburu warriors.

Seeing orphaned and abandoned elephant calves being cared for before they are released back into the wild is possible at the Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. On request, helicopter and biplane tours are also offered.
