Arcadia Cottages is a mid-range lodge located on a ridge overlooking Lake Bunyonyi. The resort has beautifully manicured gardens and sweeping views of the lake. On clear days, some of the Virunga mountains can be seen providing a backdrop for the lake.
The lodge features 25 cabins with fireplaces, en suite bathrooms, and private terraces. The 14-acre property’s magnificent gardens surround the cottages and have a stunning view of 26 of the lake’s 36 islands. They are created to offer visitors a special sense of peace and tranquility.
While savoring delicious meals in the restaurant, visitors enjoy views of the lake. Guests can enjoy a drink at the bar or read a book from the library.
The lodge has a 25-seater motor launch that is used to explore the lake and its islands or to observe the stars at night. The resort has Jet Skis for hire, as well as quadbikes for exploring the muddy roads along the lakefront or the ridges around the lodge.
Additionally, guests can go on hikes through the hills that surround Lake Bunyonyi, explore the lake and its islands, take a lake swim, or go birdwatching. Guests shouldn’t skip a visit to the local neighborhood where they can enjoy local food and entertainment.
