Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, often referred to as Bwindi, is a protected area in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the great rift valley. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located about 490 kilometers west of Kampala – Uganda’s capital city.
You can book a domestic flight from Entebbe to either Kihihi or Kisoro. These towns are close to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is the fastest and most convenient option as they are only 1 hour away from the park.
Another alternative for getting to Bwindi by air is connecting from other Ugandan national parks. There are daily scheduled flights that go to Bwindi from other parks such as Queen Elizabeth National Park, Semuliki National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.
It is an 8 – 10-hour journey from Kampala to Bwindi. The distance and travel time will depend on which part of Bwindi you plan to visit.
